Oracle Enhances Secure Development Lifecycle

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., 20-DEC-2005 Oracle today announced that it is integrating Fortify’s source code and analysis tools into the company’s comprehensive secure development lifecycle.

Over the past year, the companies have worked together to extend and enhance Fortify’s source code analysis tools to accommodate a code base as large and sophisticated as Oracle’s software. Implementing rigorous source code scanning procedures throughout a product’s lifecycle helps to reduce security flaws, speed discovery of potential vulnerabilities and ultimately enables more secure software. Oracle(r) developers will use the integrated tools to scan many tens of millions of lines of Oracle code.
