With the contributing factors of release procedures, code reviews, and testing, the Apache CouchDB developers have put out a warning of a bug in the Apache CouchDB 1.0.0 that could lead to data loss. The bug is specific to CouchDB 1.0.0 where users have set the “delayed_commits” value to true. Developers are saying that once the bug is hit in code any subsequent writes to the database are not being committed to disk. A hot fix is available and a new release will be out this week.
