SharePlex licensing for Oracle Standard Edition is among recent enhancements that also include simpler installation that has been clocked at 15 minutes and a new SharePlex for Oracle online community with how-to videos and user forum.

“Using SharePlex for Oracle, database downtime on planned maintenance that used to take four hours has been completely eliminated, and we’ve improved system performance to allow for quick disaster recovery while migrating smoothly to Oracle 11g,” said Lonn Fluke, IS director and senior deputy, Orange County Supervisor of Elections. “SharePlex licensing for Oracle Standard Edition also saved us from the cost and complexities of upgrading to Enterprise Edition, something which would’ve cost us tens of thousands of dollars.”
