Raima, a Birdstep Technology Company offering high performance embedded database solutions, has successfully implemented Softing’s OPC Unified Architecture Toolbox. This OPC based application communicates directly with RDM Embedded C-API, and assists software engineers with implementing OPC Clients/Servers or embedding OPC UA technology directly into target devices such as PLCs and DCS systems. Softing says this combination “will provide customers new options to easily integrate powerful data archiving in heterogonous automation equipment.”

OPC’s Unified Architecture is independent of the Window’s OS providing for deployment on Linux and real-time operating systems, in which are also found RDM Embedded.
