SQL Azure Cloud Database Update 4 Now Released

Update 4 for SQL Azure Database is now available. Updates to Microsoft’s cloud-based database service include:

  • Support for database copy which allows a real-time snapshot to be taken of the database and copied into another server, and is helpful for making backup support
  • Project “Houston,” a web-based database management tool, is available in multiple datacenters to reduce latency between SQL Azure and applications
  • Plus MSDN documentation for copying SQL Azure databases and development how-to topics
