Aug 19, 2010

Teradata Corporation, which focuses on raising intelligence and achieving enterprise agility through its database software, data warehousing, and analytics, announced that its five-year goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 45 percent has been approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Climate Leaders program. The greenhouse gas emissions intensity calculation is based on facility energy usage and the number of Teradata Purpose-Built Platforms shipped per year.

“We are proud that the agency has approved our energy intensity reduction goals,” said Bruce Langos, Chief Operating Officer, Teradata Corporation. “We look forward to reporting our progress as we strive to reach our goal in this valuable program.”
