MSDN Webcast TODAY: Using XML Views with SQL Server

By DatabaseJournal.com Staff

Live Event: September 26, 2002 - 11:00am to 12:30pm Pacific Time / 2:00pm Eastern Time

XML is rapidly gaining popularity as a new model for representing data. However, the majority of the data today is stored in relational databases such as SQL Server. SQLXML is a product that fills the gap between the two worlds allowing you to build XML Views of your existing relational data stored in SQL Server tables. With the help of the XML Views you can see a database as if it was an XML File. You can query it with XPath and update using XML Updategrams. You can take XML files and load them into the database converting them into relational tables. You can deploy web sites that publish data from your database in a few clicks with no coding.

This live event session from MSDN will describe how to build and use XSD-based XML Views, the core technology that enables XML in SQL Server.

Additional information for this Webcast is available at http://www.microsoft.com/usa/webcasts/upcoming/1154.asp.
