Cristalink has released Firestreamer-DVD 1.5, software that enables the Microsoft Backup Utility to access DVD media. The new version of Firestreamer-DVD introduces support for Microsoft SQL Server Backup and allows to back up live SQL databases directly to DVD. The software emulates a virtual tape drive and seamlessly integrates with Microsoft SQL Server, supporting all the features of SQLBackup.
