Oracle to Send Stryker Software Developer into Space

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. 15-SEP-2005 Oracle today announced it is sending Brian Emmett, a senior software developer for Oracle's customer Stryker, to suborbital space. A leader and innovator in the global software industry, Oracle teamed with Space Adventures, Ltd., the world's leading space experience company, to create the Oracle Space Sweepstakes and provide a software developer with the unique opportunity to win a trip to space. As the grand prize winner of the Oracle Space Sweepstakes, Emmett, 30, of Mountain View, Calif., received a reservation for a commercial flight to suborbital space.
