After forming a technology alliance with Riptano, Quest Software now supports Apache Cassandra, an open-source NoSQL database, with its second beta release of Toad for Cloud Databases. Quest and Riptano will be taking a look at what tools are needed for monitoring, diagnostics and data movement for relational databases and Cassandra so that they can provide multi-data center replication.
“Through our technology alliance with Quest, a company that knows the RDBMS market inside and out, we’ve laid the groundwork to help the market better understand the clear benefits of Cassandra, and successfully deploy it within the enterprise,” said Riptano.
