The final release of SQL Server 2008 R2 Parallel Data Warehouse appliance, expected in the first half of 2010, appears to have been pushed back as Microsoft has said it is still gathering customer feedback. Instead, the final community technology preview has been released which offers a hardware choice with appliances planned for IBM, Dell, and others as well as integration with Microsoft business intelligence tools such as PowerPivot.
