MariaDB 5.2.2 Gamma, Derived from MySQL 5.1.50 Released

A MySQL 5.1.50 derivative, MariaDB 5.2.2 gamma, has been released; increasing performance of the database engine with InnoDB threading as well as a plug-in concept for authentication modules. Also provided by MariaDB are virtual columns, not available in MySQL, and an OQGRAPH engine that enables processing of graphs in the database without any need to switch to products such as Neo4j or GraphDB.
