Open Source Database Ingress Joins up with Univention Corporate Server

Sep 10, 2010

“Ingres and Univention are focused on the same goal: the promotion of open source solutions for business use that easily match the performance, availability and user friendliness of proprietary solutions but clearly exceed in cost effectiveness and flexibility,” said Univention. And so Ingres Corporation and Univention are collaborating to bring together a powerful open source solution stack, beginning by combining Ingres Database with Univention Corporate Server. Both designed for mission-critical business use, the Univention Corporate Server provides IT management with a single, web-based interface for simple, cross-platform administration of IT infrastructure; while Ingres Database provides high-volume transaction processing capability, multi-platform support, and support for various integrated development environments, plus high security and availability of data.
