Oracle to ask W3C for Web services consensus

Oracle Corp. is attempting to gain industry consensus on a new Web services specification for choreographing interactions in business-to-business transactions. Oracle wants the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to create an industrywide working group that will guide the development of standards focused on Web services choreography.

Additionally, the plan would include an interoperability test suite, a requirements document, usage scenarios and specifications of the choreography language and its associated XML schema. For more information, visit the Oracle Corp. web site.
