Couchio has launched their hosted CouchDB beta program for developers and anyone who might want to store data. The Apache CouchDB is open source and free and designed for replication and disconnected use. Beta participants will be limited to 200, selected by Couchio, and can take advantage of the pre-version 1 beta release. “We wanted to create a low friction environment for users to get started with CouchDB and get a managed experience,” said Damien Katz, creator of CouchDB and CEO of Couchio. “The hosted CouchDB beta program is the first step towards making CouchDB easier to use for an even wider audience.”
