R1soft releases new details about their CDP 3.0 data protection software for MySQL. The new release now has an add-on that brings online database backup and true granular restore to MySQL for both Windows and Linux. Through coordination of a very brief lock and flush with the point-in-time file system snapshot this release can backup MySQL databases online with minimal impact to database load.
