Raima, a Birdstep Technology Company offering state of the art embedded database technologies, has now released an application called AirportSearch based on its RDM Embedded Database. This application for the iPhone provides direct flight information in real-time, allowing users to search over 5,000 airports, 9,000 airlines, and the more than 50,000 routes connecting them.

RDM Embedded was specifically built for, and has proven itself in, resource limited environments. The AirportSearch application has no SQL statements at all, but solely uses RDM Embedded’s native d_API, a navigation API utilizing the network database model, allowing for fast and efficient data access.
