Xeround has now released its “MySQL for the Cloud” beta, which is available in Database-as-a-Service or as a virtual appliance. In its aim to provide the best of both relational databases’ transactional and query abilities, plus NoSQL data stores’ simplicity and scalability, Xeround’s cloud database solution provides:

  • Linear, elastic auto-scaling
  • High-availability, multi-tenancy and self-healing
  • Continuous service during schema changes, resource modifications, and scaling without changes to code, architecture, or performance
  • Simple use, just load the database schema, give apps the new location, and run
