Online Analytic Processing gets a boost upward with Teradata Corporation’s newly available Teradata Aggregate Designer software. This administrative tool automates creation of Aggregate Join Indexes (AJI) inside the Teradata data warehouse database that enable:
- aggregation of data as it is loaded into the warehouse to support commonly used analytic dimensions and pre-determined business queries
- the Teradata optimizer to provide optimized performance for all OLAP solutions
- improve performance, while reducing cube creation and the non-necessary movement of data
