Aster Data Announces SAS/ACCESS Interface Engine

By DatabaseJournal.com Staff

Improving on their connectivity to SAS, a SAS/ACCESS interface engine has just been announced that provides direct connectivity between SAS and Aster Data’s nCluster—allowing customers to take advantage of Aster Data’s SQL-MapReduce. Said Tasso Argyros, CTO at Aster Data:

"Our vision of enabling richer data analytics and big data management for the enterprise is advanced by broadening our support and connectivity to the leading analytic and business analysis tools. SAS choosing to work with Aster Data validates our ability to provide the best big data management platform for advanced analytics and data-driven applications”

The new connectivity with SAS clearly will allow customers to accelerate the data mining process and improve analytics on large data volumes—offering customers greater insight into their data while making use of high performance and scalability of a massively parallel architecture.
